Obituary

Victoria Mary (Calareso) Ingetta, age 92 of Vineland, passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2012, surrounded by her loving family and her family that she grew to love at Genesis ElderCare, Millville Center in Millville, which she truly loved. Born February 9, 1920, Victoria was the daughter of Carlo and Victoria (Piglaria) Calareso and was a resident of Vineland for most of her life. She attended Sacred Heart Grammar School and Cleary School. She was employed at Model Blouse Company for 30 years and also worked for 10 years at the Training School as a foster grandmother for special needs children and retired at the age of 81. Victoria was active in the Sacred Heart PTA and a member of the Amalgamated Clothing Workers Union. She loved her De Falco Avenue home, 12 o'clock Sunday dinners, Christmas Eve, her famous barbeques and teaching her grandchildren to speak Italian. Victoria enjoyed canning and would have her whole family involved, even her neighbors. She also enjoyed reading the newspaper every morning, embroidery, crafts and beading and going to the South Jersey Senior Center. Victoria had a great sense of humor and a very strong will, she instilled in her family her great work ethic. Most of all she loved sharing time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Victoria is survived by her 3 loving daughters; Victoria (Migliarese) Miller, with whom she resided for 8 years until her illness in April, of Vineland, Bernadette (Lonnie) Dunigan of Millville and Constance (Charles) Gilleland of North Coventry, PA. Sister-in-law, Rose Calareso of Vineland, whom Victoria considered her sister. A very special person in her life was Louis Migliarese and his wife Elaine of Milmay. Victoria is also survived by her 6 grandchildren; Victoria (Gene) Vernacchio of Mantua, Lori (Dennis) Koons of Vineland, John (Jessica) Dunigan of Millville, Tiffanie (Robert) Miller of Mauricetown, Michelle (Kent) Hoverly of Oxford, PA and Robert (Lori) Gilleland of North Coventry, PA. 11 great-grandchildren and her beloved nephews Richard (Geri) Calareso, Michael (Carol) Calareso, Ronald (Lydia) Calareso and her beloved niece Michelle Calareso and Patty (Robert) Decher. Several great nieces and nephews. Victoria takes with her the last of the Calareso and Ingetta name. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, John Joseph Ingetta in 2000 and her son, John Michael. Also by her brothers; Giovanni Pat, Paul (Madeline), John (Ilene) and Michael (Virginia). Her son-in-law, William Miller and nephew Carlo and niece Mary Calareso. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at Christ the Good Sheppard Parish, Church of St. Isidore, 1655 Magnolia Rd. Vineland. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland. The viewing will be from 9:30-10:30am at the Church.
