Virginia Castro Cruz

Virginia Cruz (Castro) of Vineland, New Jersey, age 77, was born June 11, 1948 and went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at Inspira Medical Center, Vineland.

She was born in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico, to the late Modesto Cruz and Andrea Castro. Virginia carried with her the warmth, strength, and deep love for family that reflected her Puerto Rican roots throughout her life.

Virginia was preceded in death by her beloved parents and her son, Juan Rodriguez.

She is lovingly remembered by her siblings and her daughters Carmen Cortes, Dolly Rodriguez, and Wanda Mercado who devoted many years to lovingly caring for her mother and standing by her side through sickness and health.

Virginia was the proud grandmother of 13 grandchildren and was blessed with many great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy and happiness throughout her life.

She will be remembered for her strength, her love of family, and the lasting legacy she leaves behind in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Her memory will continue to live on through the generations of family she cherished so deeply.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 9, 2026 at 12:00 PM from the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland. Burial will follow in Siloam Cemetery, 550 N. Valley Ave. Vineland.

Family and friends may gather in the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 AM until Noon.
