Virginia "Vina" Cordero , age 85, of Vineland, went to join her husband on Saturday, December 28, 2019 after his passing four months ago.

Virginia was born in Utuado, PR, and later moved to Vineland, NJ, in 1952. She would then meet her soon-to-be husband, Pedro Cordero, of 65 years and raise their children and grandchildren. With a firm decision to serve the Lord, Virginia was a highly-favored, blessed, woman of God. Her generous nature would lead her to help many and open her home to provide care for special need individuals. Virginia saw the best in people and found quality in life with her "Number One" finds. She loved to cook as much as her family and friends loved to eat her food, especially her husband.

She was very thankful for the life she had. Vina would tell us to give thanks to the Lord, for he is good. His love endures forever. Psalms 136:1
Virginia joins her father and mother, Julio and Eroilda Caraballo, her husband Pedro, her daughter, Ruth Alvarado (Joe), her son, Ishmael Cordero (Anne), and her brothers, Mariano (Bernalda) and Juan (Ivette). She leaves behind to persevere her adored sons, Moses (Neilsa), Ezekiel, Lemuel (Maria), and Peter (Patricia). Her cherished, 12, grandchildren, and her treasured, 13, great-grandchildren, as well as her sisters, Frances (Antonio), and Ramona (Antonio), and brothers, Julio, Angel, Manuel, and Jose.

Family and friends are welcomed to attend funeral services at Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home located 1024 E. Landis Ave. in Vineland, NJ on Friday, January 3, 2020 from 6:30 - 8:30 pm and again on Saturday, January 4th from 9:00 to 10:00 am, with funeral service beginning at 10:00 am. Internment will follow the service at Siloam Cemetery, Valley Ave in Vineland.
