Warren T. Smith Sr. age 87 of Landisville, N.J., passed away peacefully on Friday, August 24, 2012 surrounded by God's love and his family. Warren was born in Atlantic City on July 14, 1925 and raised in Vineland, N.J. He was a Veteran of World War II, serving in the Navy for 2 years and the Army for 2 ½ years. Warren was a truck driver for Cross Transportation of Bridgeton and LoBiondo of Norma and retired after 45 years of service. Warren is survived by his daughter and granddaughter as his caregivers, Shirlee ("Ann" Smith) Mitchell and LeeAnn Nicole Ruppel of Landisville, N.J. His daughter Florence ("Sis" Smith) Hawk and Ronald Hawk of Vineland, and his son, Warren T Smith Jr. of Bloomburgs, P.A. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Warren was predeceased by his wife Margaret R. (Hewitt) Smith, his son Arthur William Smith and his daughter Linda (Smith) Murray. Also by his sisters; Josephine H. Mays and Florence Wendling. The funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland, with Rev. Susan Flicker officiating.
