William "Bill" Harry Ackley of Vineland, age 75, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on October 13, 2023 at Inspira Medical Center, Vineland. He was born on January 6, 1948 to the late Walter and Elizabeth (Duby) Ackley in Hackensack, NJ. He was the oldest of six children. The family moved to Richland, NJ when Bill was about ten years old. He moved to Philadelphia, PA for numerous years before moving to Vineland where he lived for the last 36 years.

Everyone who knew Bill felt his kind heart and caring nature. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle in his younger years. Bill also loved listening to "the oldies" and watching the good old black & white movies and TV shows. He never met a lasagna he did not like.

Bill was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Evelyn Ackley. He is survived by his three children Sherry, Mary, and Michael Ackley, his brothers Walter, John, and Harry (Brenda) Ackley and his sister Betty Ann Lindley as well as many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give special thanks to his caregiver, Maria Costante, for all she did for Bill over the last 4 1/2 years.

Bill will be cremated and laid to rest with his parents and sister at Friendship Cemetery following a private memorial service.
