William Geigle, age 87 of Vineland passed away peacefully Friday, February 22, 2013 in South Gate Health Care Center, Carneys Point. Bill was born in Philadelphia to the late William and Anna (Lang) Geigle and was a lifelong Vineland resident. Bill was an United States Army veteran serving during WW2. Bill sold Jersey Fresh produce and eggs to residents of Philadelphia before being employed by the United States Postal Service for many years. Afterwards, Bill enjoyed bus driving athletic teams to sporting events for Sacred Heart High School. Bill and his late wife Olive "Pat" loved to spend time in Cape May especially fishing. The siren of the slot machine also lured Bill to Atlantic City. Bill was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church of Vineland. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and his devotion to Pat. Bill was predeceased by his wife, Olive Patricia (Fair) Geigle in 2003 and daughter, Eileen M. Geigle in 2000. Survivors include his daughter, Olivia Gerber and her husband Edward of Minneapolis, MN and son William L. Geigle and his wife Paula, of West Chester, Pa. Also 3 grandchildren, Jade Garber of Seattle, Wash., Nate Geigle of Elkins Park, Pa. and Nicholas Geigle of West Chester, Pa., niece, Kathleen Brown, nephew, Peter Brown and great-niece, Jennifer Brown all of Millville. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 26th at 11:00 AM from the Redeemer Lutheran Church 2384 E. Landis Ave. Vineland with Rev. Gary N. Steigler officiating. Burial will follow in Siloam Cemetery, Vineland. Visitation hours are 10:00-11:00 AM prior to the services in church.
