William C. "Bill" MacDade, age 91 of Vineland, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at Inspira Medical Center, Vineland. William was born in Collegeville, PA to the late Robert H. and Sarah (Hughes) MacDade and was a resident of Vineland for most of his life. He was a graduate of Vineland High School, Class of 1941. Bill was a veteran and served with the U.S. Army Air Corp during WWII in the European Theater. Bill was the owner of MacDade Fire Equipment of Vineland for 35 years. He was a charter member and Chairman of the Committee of 50, and appointed as Chairman of the Human Relations Committee for the City of Vineland. Bill was also a trustee of the Vineland Economic Development Corp. and served two terms as Chairman of the Landis Sewerage Authority. Bill enjoyed golf, politics and Wall Street. He was predeceased by his brother, Robert MacDade. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Joan (Cogan) MacDade of Vineland. His daughter, Susan Paluskiewicz and her husband Ted of Piscataway, NJ. His 2 grandchildren; James Paluskiewicz of Washington, DC and Casey Paluskiewicz of Woodbridge, NJ, and by his brother, Charles MacDade of Vineland. The funeral service will be held on Saturday March 1st at 11:00 am at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland, with Deacon Bob Andreacchio officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Millville. Family and friends may gather on Saturday from 10:00-11:00 at the funeral home.
