When a Death Occurs at a Hospital, Nursing Home, or Hospice Facility

The staff of a facility such as a hospital or a nursing home will notify you and the necessary authorities immediately after a death has occurred. Be sure to give the staff at the facility our name and phone number so they can call us. You may also call us directly to ensure your peace of mind.

When a Death Occurs at Home

If the person was not under hospice care, the police will have to be notified immediately. The police will be dispatched to the home and will notify the medical examiner or Justice of the Peace. Please call us at this time also to ensure the care of your loved one.
